Antolini’s Cristallo Vitrum: Glacial Elegance

Post Image

Italian stone brand Antolini has unveiled an exquisite addition to its Cristallo Vitrum tableware collection, designed by Alessandro La Spada. The new variation, titled Cristallo Vitrum “Wow,” combines translucent natural quartz stone with satin gold-finished steel to evoke the ethereal beauty of glacial ice.

The collection features a mesmerizing play of cloudy and transparent sections, accented by delicate amber veining, which closely resembles the appearance of large ice sheets. The inclusion of metal components creates a striking contrast, enhancing the overall visual impact of the pieces.

Design Gallery enthusiasts will appreciate the thoughtful design elements incorporated into the Cristallo Vitrum collection. The range includes a variety of items such as lamps, candleholders, trays, place markers, serving stands, and a caviar and butter set, all showcasing rounded, pebble-like shapes that soften the hard edges of stone and metal. These shapes also subtly echo the lopsided circle of Antolini’s logo, adding a cohesive element to the collection.

Antolini describes the collection as “like small works of architecture,” highlighting the intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into each piece. The use of natural stone demonstrates the “infinite versatility” of the material, showcasing the various effects that can be achieved through skillful manipulation.
